La Carreta began the way the best food does — with a family recipe and a lot of heart. What started as a way to bring real, home-style Mexican cooking to our neighbors has become a Middletown favorite, one taco at a time.
The name says it all. A carreta is a wagon — the humble cart that has carried food, family, and tradition for generations. Our wheels just happen to be parked on Main Street, where we slow-braise our birria, press fresh tortas, and serve everything with a smile.
